The Last Attempt To Contact: What Lies At The Heart Of The Plot Of “The Last Message”
The film centers on American-Ukrainian singer and activist Kelsey Kimberlin. Her cousin, Andriy Rachok, volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was killed on February 22, 2024, during the battles for Avdiivka. Before his death, he tried to call his sister, but she did not pick up the phone. It was that disconnected call that became the title and the overarching image of the entire film.
